Host dramatic readings of texts; host a hometown panel on texting and driving, ghosting, or the need to reconnect IRL; take in art without taking photos; host a nature walk.
Last year, we set up a dumpster in Lower Manhattan and passersby could smash teacups, vases, and other tchotchkes into it. The response was...spirited. Clear a space and smash some plates. Because the only thing you'd rather be doing than texting is smashing things.
